Control Buttons



Use this button to open the on-screen menu and exit from the menu screen or close screen adjustment menu.
Analog/Digital(PC) : MagicBright™
MagicBright™ is a new feature providing the optimum viewing environment depending on the contents of the image you are watching.
Then press the button again to circle through available preconfigured modes.
( Custom → Text → Internet → Game → Sports → Movie → Dynamic CR )

Digital(DVD)/AV/S-Video/Component : Mode
The Monitor has four automatic picture settings that are preset at the factory.
Then press the button again to circle through available preconfigured modes.
( Dynamic → Standard → Movie → Custom )
This button allows you to adjust items in the menu.

Press this button to activate a highlighted menu item.

Menu Description
AUTO

When the 'AUTO' button is pressed, the Auto Adjustment screen appears as shown in the animated screen on the center.
Auto adjustment allows the monitor to self-adjust to the incoming PC signal. The values of fine, coarse and position are adjusted automatically.
(Available in Analog mode only)

To make the automatic adjustment function sharper, execute the 'AUTO' function while the AUTO PATTERN is on.

If auto adjustment does not work properly, press 'AUTO' button again to adjust picture with more accuracy.
If you change resolution in the control panel, auto function will be executed automatically.


OSD Lock & Unlock

   
  When pressing the AUTO or PIP button after locking the OSD

Menu Description
Locked This is the function that locks the OSD in order to keep the current states of settings or prevent others from adjusting the current settings.

Lock : Hold down the menu button for more than five (5) seconds to activate the OSD adjustment lock function.

Unlock : Hold down the menu button for more than five (5) seconds to deactivate the OSD adjustment lock function.

Though the OSD adjustment lock function is activated, you can still adjust
the brightness and contrast, and adjust MagicBright () using the Direct button.

  Brightness
When OSD is not on the screen, push the button to adjust brightness.


SOURCE


Menu Description
SOURCE Selects the input signal while the OSD is off.
(When the source button is pressed to change the input mode, a message appears in the upper left of the screen displaying the current mode -- Analog, Digital, AV, S-Video and Component input signal.)
Changing the source is only allowed for external devices that are connected to the monitor at the time.


PIP ( Available in Analog/Digital(PC) Mode Only )


Menu Description
PIP Push the PIP button to turn PIP screen On/Off.
You can view a picture from AV, S-Video, or Component through the PIP screen in Analog and Digital (PC) mode.

Menu Description Play/Stop
MagicBright™ MagicBright™ is a new feature providing optimum viewing environment depending on the contents of the image you are watching. Currently seven different modes are available: Custom, Text, Internet, Game, Sport, Movie and Dynamic CR. Each mode has its own pre-configured brightness value. You can easily select one of seven settings by simply pressing MagicBright™ control button.

1) Custom
: Although the values are carefully chosen by our engineers, the pre-configured values may not be comfortable to your eyes depending on your taste. If this is the case, adjust the brightness and contrast by using the OSD menu.
2) Text
: For documentations or works involving heavy text.
3) Internet
: For working with a mixture of images such as texts and graphics.
4) Game
: For watching motion pictures such as a game.
5) Sports
: For watching motion pictures such as a Sports.
6) Movie
: For watching motion pictures such as a DVD or Video CD.
7) Dynamic CR
: Dynamic CR is to automatically detect distribution of inputted visual signal and adjust to create optimum contrast.

If you adjust picture using Custom function, MagicBright™ will turn to Custom mode.
Image Lock Image Lock is used to fine-tune and get the best image by removing noise that creates unstable images with jitter and shimmer. If satisfactory results are not obtained using the Fine adjustment, use the Coarse adjustment and then use Fine again.
- Available in Analog Mode Only

1) Coarse
: Adjust the screen so that all vertical lines (noise) on the screen are removed. Then, use the horizontal position adjustment menu to move the screen to the center, as the screen position may change after the noise has been removed.
2) Fine
: Removes noise such as horizontal stripes. If the noise persists even after Fine tuning, repeat it after adjusting the frequency (clock speed).
3) Sharpness
: Adjust the Sharpness.
- Not available in Dynamic CR Mode
4) H-Position
: Adjusts the screen location horizontally.
5) V-Position
: Adjusts the screen location vertically.

Menu Description Play/Stop
Mode The Monitor has four automatic picture settings ("Dynamic", "Standard", "Movie" and "Custom") that are preset at the factory. You can activate either Dynamic, Standard, Movie, or Custom. You can select "Custom" which automatically recalls your personalized picture settings.

1) Dynamic
: Select this mode to view a sharper image than in "Standard" mode.
2) Standard
: Select this mode when the surroundings are bright. This also provides a sharp image.
3) Movie
: Select this mode when the surroundings are dark.
This will save power and reduce eye fatigue.
4) Custom
: Select this mode when you want to adjust the image according to your preferences

    MagicColor Pro

    Menu Description Play/Stop
    MagicColor Implements the natural color chroma according to the display screen. Automatically adjusts to the display screen.
    Can improve the skin tones.

    Enhance natural color except skin tone.
    3) Full
    Displays both natural skin tones and enhanced colors.
    4) Demo
    Displays the improved image on the left and the original on the right.

    Gamma Gamma correction changes the luminance of the colors with intermediate luminance.
    Increased Mode number - Displays the full screen more naturally and softer and sharpens the dark scale.
    Decreased Mode number - Displays the full screen sharper and improves the bright scale.

    Blue Screen If no signal is being received or the signal is very weak, a blue screen automatically replaces the noisy picture background. If you wish to continue viewing the poor picture, you must set the "Blue screen" mode to "Off".
